New ‘Jungle Cruise’ Trailer

Disney has released a new official trailer for Jungle Cruise, an upcoming live-action adventure film based on the theme park ride of the same name. Let’s take a look.

Well, not much here that looks different from the previous trailers released. I like Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, and I’m desperate to see movies in a theater again, so it looks like Disney will get my money based on that.

All I’m sure of is that there is no way I will be spending $30 to see this on my TV using Premier Access. If I’m paying $30, I’ll be doing it to see Jungle Cruise on the largest screen possible.

Also, I’m digging the new poster below. A poorly photoshopped poster will never beat one that is hand-drawn.

Plot Synopsis:

Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” is an adventure-filled, rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities—possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.

Jungle Cruise hits theaters and Disney+ Premier Access on July 30, 2021.
