Samuel L. Jackson has just revealed that he will be reprising his Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Nick Fury in The Marvels.
Jackson revealed the news on his official Instagram account with a handful of pictures showing off Nick Fury’s iconic(?) facial hair.
The upcoming Marvel Studios film acts as a sequel to a number of previous and upcoming Marvel productions. The film will center on Brie Larson‘s Carol Danvers, but will also star Teyonah Parris‘ Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani‘s Ms. Marvel. That means The Marvels will be picking up plot threads from Captain Marvel, WandaVision, and Ms. Marvel. I guess we should throw in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home while we are at it too. Just what are you doing up there in space, Fury?
Since The Marvels is now in production, hopefully that means we will get an official cast announcement soon or hear about more new additions to the cast. With Nick Fury part of the film, will The Marvels connect to the upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion? I guess time will tell.
