The Ocean’s movies have always been known for their A-list casts, and the upcoming prequel film will be no different.
The Hollywood Reporter states that Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread), George MacKay (1917), Lauren Ridloff (Eternals), and British actor Jack Holden have joined the ensemble of the untitled Ocean’s Eleven prequel. Omar Sy, the lead of Netflix’s Lupin, is also in negotiations to board the project.
The cast already includes Margot Robbie, Bradley Cooper, Wagner Moura, Monica Barbaro, and Josh Gad. Cooper is also directing and writing and the prequel, which is expected to begin shooting later this month in Paris before moving to the South of France.
Robbie and Cooper are set to play the parents of George Clooney’s Danny Ocean, following them as they pull off a heist at the 1963 Monaco Grand Prix. Moura will play the villain.
The untitled Ocean’s prequel is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2027.
