Sorry kids, not that Pete & Pete.
Rumor has it Doctor Who‘s Peter Capaldi and SNL‘s Pete Davidson are joining James Gunn‘s already big name cast. Capaldi is supposedly joining the group, in an unnamed role. While Pete Davidson, is being eyed for a cameo in the film.
Regardless of what your thoughts were on the first film, Gunn is putting together one hell of an interesting cast for this new reboot/sequel. Returning from the first film are Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, and Viola Davis. And new faces joining the “Squad” are Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior, Flula Borg, Steve Agee, Nathan Fillion, and hopefully Taika Waititi.
The Suicide Squad is set to arrive in theaters on August 6, 2021.
