Walt Disney Studios unveiled the official logo for Soul, the second Pixar film coming in 2020 (after Onward), on its official Twitter.
One year from today, Pixar Animation Studios will take you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions. Disney & Pixar’s “Soul” arrives in theaters on June 19, 2020. pic.twitter.com/SugTIzbeVp

The tweet claims Soul “will take you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions.” Additionally, Pixar released the following tagline: “Ever wonder where your passion, your dreams and your interests come from? What is it that makes you… YOU?”
Pete Docter (Inside Out) is directing, based on an idea he came up with. No voice cast has been announced yet.
The teaser trailer for Onward absolutely did nothing for me, and actually made me wonder if Pixar was turning into the next Dreamworks. Going off the brief description we’ve received for Soul, I feel like this will be a more emotional and spiritual journey similar to Inside Out and Coco.
Onward hits theaters March 6, 2020. Soul follows a few months later on June 19, 2020. Damn, do I miss when Pixar used to released one film a year in theaters instead of two. Usually, one ends up being the superior film (Inside Out > The Good Dinosaur; Coco > Cars 3).
What are your thoughts on Pixar’s 2020 films? If you had to pick only one to see, which one would it be?
