
Mark your calendars, a whole string of hotly-anticipated movies just received release dates.
Walt Disney Pictures has announced that Freakier Friday, the long-awaited Freaky Friday sequel starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, will arrive in theaters on August 8, 2025, while the live-action Lilo & Stitch remake will open a couple of months earlier on May 23, 2025.

This release date news comes just over a week after Neve Campbell and Kevin Williamson announced on their socials that Scream 7 would be opening in theaters on February 27, 2026.

Closing out the release date news is a pair of upcoming Paramount remakes: The Naked Gun, starring Liam Neeson, and The Running Man, starring Glen Powell. The former will hit theaters on August 1, 2025, while the latter runs (see what I did there) into cinemas on November 21, 2025.
