There’s been some changes to the release date calendar, so here’s everything you need to know.
20th Century Studios has removed Free Guy and Death on the Nile from the schedule. Both films were slated to hit theaters mid-December of this year. However, they have now been removed and no new release date has been announced at the time of writing. I could see either of these films being repackaged for Disney+ or Hulu. Yet, the best guess is that once studios have a firmer grasp on when theaters will be opening up again that’s when new release dates will be announced.
The other day word came out that Johnny Depp was being dismissed from Fantastic Beasts 3. Now Warner Bros. has announced that the film will hit theaters on July 15, 2022. It was previously slated for release on November 12, 2021. It will mark the first time that Fantastic Beasts has played the summer frame. The mid-July spot has been occupied by its franchise companion Harry Potter when they were still being made.
Ammonite, the Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan drama, will hit theaters this Friday, November 13, 2020. It will then head to VOD starting December 4, 2020.
Universal has given Jordan Peele‘s next directorial feature its release date. The “horror event title” will hit theaters July 22, 2022.
