SAW’s Newest Podcast, Wasteland Movie Draft, Tackles A24 Movies in Premiere Episode

Welcome… to the first official episode of ScreenAge Wasteland Movie Draft!

This new podcast under the ScreenAge Podcasts umbrella of content is simple: movie games and movie drafts. Every month, we’ll have a new episode centered around a certain theme, which will include a fun movie trivia-based game with our contestants and then a five-round draft of the theme’s movies.

If you’ve never seen (or heard) a draft before, don’t you worry. If you’re a sports person, it functions just like a snake draft, but for those who are unfamiliar:

• Draft starts with the first contestant taking their first pick, second and third will do the same, but the fourth contestant gets to pick two selections
• Order will then reverse going 4 -> 1 and 1 -> 4 until everyone has selected five movies to create their “team”

August’s theme, The A24 Draft, is inspired by the upcoming release of two of the studio’s films: Matt Johnson’s Tony and Adam Wingard’s Onslaught. With this producer/distributor running for over thirteen years with over two hundred films under their wing, we figured it was time to look back and attempt to select the very best of the A24 catalog.

So, Raf Stitt, Val Morreale, Jacob Holmes, and myself (Tyler Harner) got together to see who could come out victorious in this debut episode.
