‘Solar Opposites’ & ‘Rick and Morty’ Season 4 Trailer: Justin Roiland Loves Dysfunctional Families

Justin Roiland, co-creator of Rick and Morty, is looking to be on a bit of a hot streak this week. In addition to a new trailer for the back half of Rick and Morty season 4, the first trailer for Solar Opposites, his new animated comedy, was also released. Check out both trailers below!

It doesn’t look bad. You can definitely tell it’s from the same minds behind Rick and Morty. If this wasn’t on Hulu I’d almost expect a crossover to happen one day. Heck, it probably still could.

Plot Synopsis:

Solar Opposites centers around a team of four aliens who have escaped their exploding home world, only to crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America. They are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo (Justin Roiland) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambroni) only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty, while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love humans and all their TV, junk food, and fun stuff. Their mission: protect the Pupa, a living super computer that will one day evolve into its true form, consume them and terraform the Earth.

Solar Opposites season 1 drops May 8, 2020 on Hulu.

Oh, Rick and Morty you loveable knockoffs of Doc and Marty. One day I’ll actually get around to finishing off your show. Until then, I’ll just chuckle in slight amusement at how obsessed your fans are about some McDonald’s Mulan sauce.
