Another iconic Spider-Man villain is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to DeadlineMarvin Jones III has been tapped to play Lonnie Lincoln / Tombstone in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Spidey fans in the know will remember that Jones previously voiced Tombstone in the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, making him one of the few actors to have played the same character both inside and outside the MCU.

Created by Gerry Conway and Alex Saviuk, Tombstone is a hulking African-American albino with filed teeth and near-indestructible skin who first appeared in Web of Spider-Man #36 (1988). He is often depicted as one of New York’s nastiest crime bosses.

Production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently on pause until September 29, as Tom Holland suffered a concussion on set last week. Destin Daniel Cretton is in the director’s chair for the fourth MCU-set Spider-Man movie, which was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
