Disney / Lucasfilm has released an official trailer for Star Wars: Visions, an upcoming anthology anime series. Let’s take a look.
Oh yeah, I cannot wait to see how these Japanese studios approached the Star Wars universe. The animated looks stunning (and a million times better than those CGI series y’all seem to love).
Also, Lucasfilm clearly spared no expense when it came to casting. Lucy Liu, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Neil Patrick Harris, Alison Brie, Karen Fukuhara, Kimiko Glenn, Simu Liu, Kyle Chandler, David Harbour, Henry Golding, Jamie Chung, and George Takei are all set to voice characters across the nine short films. Oh, and Temuera Morrison will be returning as Boba Fett for one episode.
Plot Synopsis (via executive producer and Lucasfilm Vice President, Franchise Content & Strategy, James Waugh):
The entirety of Star Wars: Visions begins streaming September 22, 2021 on Disney+.
