Sylvester Stallone recently teased a fourth Expendables film on July the 4th. Posting a picture of his character Barney Ross with the caption: “All of those July 4th Fireworks got my mind going! I am starting to cook up The next adventure!”
The Expendables 4 has been rumored since the third film came out in 2014. There’s been a lot of behind-the-scenes drama that included Stallone leaving the franchise for a period of time. It looks like all those issues have been resolved and Stallone is back at it.
The Expendables franchise is a lot of good old-fashioned fun. Seeing aging action stars of yesteryear team up against to fight an aging action star villain with a lot of violence, swears, and insanity cannot be beat. The third film was slapped with a PG-13 rating and a younger supporting cast, which was met with fan outrage. Hopefully Stallone learned his lesson and gives the fans what they want: more of Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford, Dolph Lundgren, etc.
