The CW Releases ‘Stargirl’ Trailer

The CW has just released the first trailer for the series Stargirl starring Brec Bassinger. Let’s take a peek!

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know a whole lot about the Stargirl character and I only loosely followed the Justice Society of America (an early iteration of the Justice League).

I think this looks pretty good, as long as they keep it from becoming  “Superhero 90210”. I’ll definitely give this a shot when it premieres on the DC Universe streaming service … oh wait it’s on the CW. Hold on…it’s a CW Show AND a DC Universe show.

The DC CW shows are so hit-or-miss with me. Well, it’ll be worth watching just to see Joel McHale as Starman and Luke Wilson as his sidekick Stripesy!

Plot Synopsis:

Courtney Whitmore (aka Stargirl) is smart, athletic and above all else kind. This high school teenager’s seemingly perfect life hits a major speed bump when her mother gets married and her new family moves from Los Angeles, California, to Blue Valley, Nebraska. Struggling to adapt to a new school, make new friends and deal with a new step-family, Courtney discovers her step-father has a secret; he used to be the sidekick to a superhero. ‘Borrowing’ the long-lost hero’s cosmic staff, Courtney becomes the unlikely inspiration for an entirely new generation of superheroes.Put Movie plot here and poster below as such

Stargirl is set to premiere on The CW and DC Universe in Spring 2020.
