Which DCEU Movie is the Best?

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

It’s Superhero / Comic Book Month at ScreenAge Wasteland, so expect all of this month’s QOTD to follow that theme. To kick things off, we thought since there is a new DC movie currently in theaters to ask the screenagers: what is the best movie in the DC Extended Universe?

Okay, before I answer, let’s run down the eleven films in the DC Extended Universe:

  • Man of Steel (2013)
  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
  • Suicide Squad (2016)
  • Wonder Woman (2017)
  • Justice League (2017)
  • Aquaman (2018)
  • Shazam! (2019)
  • Birds of Prey (2020)
  • Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
  • Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021)
  • The Suicide Squad (2021)

My pick is The Suicide Squad. It’s definitely the most fun I’ve had at a DC film in a long time. I also like Aquaman, but if I had to pick one to watch right now I’m going with James Gunn’s take on Task Force X.

So what about you, folks? Which DCEU movie do you think is the best one?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
