Lucasfilm has released an official trailer for Season 1 of Andor. Let’s take a look and see if the upcoming Disney+ series will be worth checking out.
This looks so fucking refreshing.
Rogue One is possibly my favorite Star Wars movie and I’m excited to see the origin story of Diego Luna‘s Cassian Andor. And while I was mostly joking about Andor looking like the first good Star Wars series (my humblest apologies to Baby Yoda), Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Book of Boba Fett just weren’t doing it for me. I had no interest in seeing more stories with either of those characters. Andor, on the other hand, looks like it will expand the galaxy and introduce new characters that will surely become future fan favorites. I’m ready, are you?
In addition to Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly and Forest Whitaker reprise their respective roles as Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera from previous Star Wars media. The rest of the Andor cast includes Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Fiona Shaw.
Plot Synopsis:
Andor will premiere on Disney+ on September 21, 2022, with its first three episodes, while the rest of the episodes will release weekly until November 23. A second season is currently in development.
