‘Black Adam’ May Introduce The Justice Society of America

Screen Rant has posted excerpts of an interview with Dwayne Johnson where the Black Adam star teased the involvement of the Justice Society of America for the upcoming DCEU release.

Johnson was doing a presser for his new film Jumanji: The Next Level when Screen Rant specifically mentioned the JSA he replied “We will introduce you to that, the world to JSA”.

JSA

Why is this significant you ask? I’m glad you did!

Briefly, the Justice Society was originally the preeminent DC super hero team of the golden age of comics. A “precursor” to the Justice League, if you please. The original line-up included Dr. Fate, Hourman,  Spectre, Sandman, Atom, Flash, Green Lantern and Hawkman. Of course the team added and subtracted members over the decades, eventually being revealed to exist on Earth-2 while the mainstream DC heroes existed on Earth-1 until Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Got all that? The really cool thing about all of this is the possible official introduction of the DCEU multi-verse AND the classic heroes from the golden age. Which iteration of the team could be used and how do you explain Black Adam introducing them? Granted, the JSA has faced Black Adam, but they aren’t traditionally linked together. This is akin to the Avengers introducing Galactus. I’m not complaining, I’ll take any DC table scraps Dwayne tosses out there!

Black Adam hits theaters released in December 22, 2021.

What do you Screenagers think? I’d be pretty jazzed if it happens!
