DC Announces Four New Animated Films | DC FanDome

DC announced its slate of animated films for 2022 at last weekend’s DC FanDome. Let’s run them down.

We already knew about Catwoman: Hunted, which releases on February 8, 2022, and just dropped its first trailer.

In Spring 2022, DC will release Teen Titans Go & DC Super Hero Girls, a comedic crossover that will reunite the casts of Teen Titans Go! and DC Super Hero Girls.

In Summer 2022, DC will release Green Lantern: Beware My Power. It will be the first Green Lantern animated film since 2011’s Green Lantern: Emerald Knights.

In Fall 2022, Battle of the Super Sons will come out. It will be the first fully CG animated movie from DC. In Winter 2022, a complete edition of Batman: The Long Halloween will be released in 4K.

However, the most important animated film to come out of DC FanDome does not currently have an estimated release date. During the Milestone panel at DC FanDome, producer Reggie Hudlin and Milestone co-founder Denys Cowan revealed that Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment are currently working on a Milestone animated movie.

The movie will be written by Brandon Thomas. On the annoucement, Cowan said:

“This has been the thing that Milestone fans have been dreaming about for a long time, and we’re happy to give it to you, finally.”

Cowan also confirmed that the film will feature “more than one character,” suggesting that it will include several Milestone characters (so don’t expect a Static Shock solo film).

Oh, they also released this cool teaser poster.
