‘Greyhound’ Trailer: Tom Hanks is a WWII Navy Commander

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Sony has just released the official trailer for Greyhound, based on C.S. Forester’s book The Good Shepherd.

This looks like it could be quite suspenseful. Tom Hanks will always get my butt in a seat, and he looks to be doing a good job here.

I always wonder how true “inspired by true events” is, so I just hope for something accurate. Yet, I’m not sure if that last clip is even possible. Can you tilt a ship and have a missile skim the hull and keep on going? Someone with more nautical or military knowledge please let me know.

Plot Synopsis:

The only thing more dangerous than the front lines was the fight to get there. In the early days of WWII, an international convoy of 37 Allied ships, led by captain Ernest Krause (Tom Hanks) in his first command of a U.S. destroyer, crosses the treacherous North Atlantic while hotly pursued by wolf packs of Nazi U-boats.

Greyhound hits theaters June 12, 2020.
