Hayden Christensen Joins Cast of Star Wars ‘Ahsoka’ Series

It looks like it’s finally time for Hayden Christensen to get his justice.

According to THR, the actor will reprise his role of Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader in Ahsoka, an upcoming Star Wars Disney+ series.

Christensen is also slated to appear in Obi-Wan Kenobi, the live-action Episode IV: A New Hope prequel series starring Ewan McGregor.

Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, a Jedi Knight who first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She made her live-action debut during the second season of The Mandalorian.

There’s no plot details yet regarding the series, but Dave Filoni is writing the series and executive producing with Jon Favreau. We also know that the series will be set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, which featured Vader’s death. Force Ghost Anakin, anyone?

I’d also be down for some live-action Clone Wars flashbacks, which fans are also expecting to see in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. It’s nice to see Christensen get another chance to prove the haters wrong. But I have to wonder if all of this is leading to a potential Darth Vader live-action limited series set between Episode III and IV.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more on Ahsoka as it enters production in early 2022.
