‘Masters of the Universe’ Gets 2021 Release Date from Sony

Columbia Pictures/Sony‘s He-Man feature film will be bursting out of the gate on March 5th, 2021 according to Deadline where it seems that Masters of the Universe will be battling it out against Fox’s animated feature Nimona on the same day.

Starring Noah Centino who’s just wrapped shooting in Elizabeth Banks’ Charlies Angels reboot, Masters of the Universe will be directed by Aaron and Adam Nee (Band of Robbers) with a script by Matt Holloway & Art Marcum (co-writers of Iron Man and Men in Black: International).

Plot details are scarce at this point as are further casting decisions but if it’s more like the core franchise and not you know, that Lundgren flick in the 80’s, we could probably expect something like:

Plot Synopsis:

In furthest regions of space the kingdom of Eternia is threatened by the villainous Skeletor and his mischievous armies of darkness. To save his fathers kingdom and protect the lives of those he holds dear young Prince Adam has to retrieve a mythical sword and become the fabled warrior only known as “He-Man”.

We all know the classic setup for the show…”By your powers combined, give me sight beyond sight, I’ll form the head so transform and roll out, Joe!”

What do you think, Wasteoids? Too early for the hype train and will that train even be leaving the station before we get a trailer?
