Netflix Unveils First Look at 2021 Movie Slate in Preview Trailer

Netflix has released an official trailer for… its 2021 movie slate?! Yup, the streaming service wants to remind you how many high-profile films will be released this year. In fact, at least one a week. I guess you won’t be cancelling your subscription anytime soon, eh.

Yeah, there’s a few films previewed that I definitely want to check out. Uncle Handsome knows I want to check out Red Notice, and there were a couple other films teased I do want to see. Our biggest first looks were definitely of Army of the Dead and Don’t Look Up.

My only issue with the preview was the god awful scripted portions with actors. They felt extremely forced and fake (except for the opening one with Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds). How about we just let actors say what they want about films instead of being forced to read terrible dialogue. Or at least get them to act like they actually came up with those lines.

Statement:

Here’s a reason to get excited about 2021: Netflix has a new movie coming out every single week! This is just a sneak peak of the full list, which ranges from superheroes, to westerns, thrillers, rom-coms, action, comedy, and sometimes all of those things combined — and always with the world’s biggest and best stars, directors, and fresh faces. Get hyped, people, because this year is gonna be a big one.

Which films teased in the film preview are you most excited to see this year? Do you think Netflix will continue their stranglehold over quality streaming films?
