New Line Cinema has released the full-length official trailer IT Chapter Two, the highly anticipated sequel to 2017’s hit blockbuster film, IT Chapter One, based on the 1986 novel by Stephen King.
The trailer features the members of The Loser’s Club reuniting in Derry, Maine 27 years after the horrific events of IT Chapter One in order to try and defeat the malevolent Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) once and for all.
To sum it up, Isaiah Mustafa, who plays Mike Hanlon, told CNET:
“It’s still about that friendship those kids in chapter one developed and how they really became each other’s best friends to fight this evil. Don’t get me wrong, it’s horrifying, but it’s still touching.”
We already got a pretty solid teaser trailer back in May, and this new trailer has definitely added to the hype surrounding the sequel. I’ve been worried that the film wouldn’t live up to the expectations fans have for it solely based on the fact that the sequel’s script would not have Cary Fukunaga’s work or influence as Chapter One had, but the more I see of the movie, the more faith I have in Andy Muschietti that he’ll deliver.
Plot Synopsis:
IT Chapter Two will be released on September 6, 2019.
What do you guys think of the new trailer?
