Ryan Gosling (The Fall Guy) may be heading to a galaxy far, far away.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is in negotiations to lead the next Star Wars movie, which is looking to be the one filmmaker Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine) has been developing since 2022. Jonathan Tropper (The Adam Project) is writing the script. Levy is also producing the feature via his 21 Laps banner, joining Star Wars stewards Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm.
No details about Levy’s Star Wars movie have been revealed, but it is expected to be a standalone entry in the franchise and not connected to The Skywalker Saga. If Gosling indeed signs on, production could begin this fall, making it the next Star Wars movie to hit theaters, after The Mandalorian & Grogu in May 2026.
We’ll keep you posted as more details are released.
Are you down for Ryan Gosling headlining a Star Wars movie? At least it’s not Ryan Reynolds, am I right?
