Two more Marvel Cinematic Universe alums will be swinging by the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, after being rumored a while back, Mark Ruffalo is now confirmed to appear in Brand New Day, reprising his role as Bruce Banner/Hulk. Additionally, Michael Mando will make his long-awaited MCU return as Mac Gargan in the new Spider-Man movie. Will we finally see Mando’s Mac Gargan suit up as the Scorpion in Brand New Day? One can only hope!

Ruffalo and Mando are the latest MCU alums to join Sony and Marvel Studios‘ fourth Spider-Man movie. Also on the call sheet are Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon also expected to appear as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson and Ned Leeds, respectively.

New additions to the cast include Sadie Sink (rumored to be playing a variant of Gwen Stacy) and Liza Colón-Zayas. Set photos have also suggested the inclusion of fan-favorite villain Mister Negative. Destin Daniel Cretton, who helmed Shang-Chi, is directing this new web-slinging adventure.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
