MOVIES WATCHED THIS WEEK

Highlander (1986)

“An immortal Scottish swordsman must confront the last of his immortal opponent, a murderously brutal barbarian who lusts for the fabled ‘Prize’.”

Here are Double Impact’s thoughts on the film!

Kill List (2011)

“Nearly a year after a botched job, a hitman takes a new assignment with the promise of a big payoff for three killings. What starts off as an easy task soon unravels, sending the killer into the heart of darkness.”

I like the grimey and kind of jumbledness to it. Helped make it feel more real with no real idea where it was going. It was a bit slow and honestly, I didn’t care for any of the performances until the brutality showed but the ending certainly won me over. Grim and half expected. It’s just the other half that surprised me. (3.5/5)

Runaway Train (1985)

“Two escaped convicts and a female railway worker find themselves trapped on a train with no brakes and nobody driving.”

It has been a while since I have seen this but damn, I love me some Eric Roberts. It’s a pretty simple and straightforward action drama. Breakout of prison, survive a runaway train, and let Jon Voight and Eric Roberts do what they do. Some great action and effects. (4.25/5)

Superbad (2007)

“Two co-dependent high school seniors are forced to deal with separation anxiety after their plan to stage a booze-soaked party goes awry.”

I have watched this 6 times this past week. That is all. (6/5)

We are trying to decide if we should keep the extra middle of the week Monsoonvision going since most you busters aren’t showing up!
