Alt + Poster is a (semi) regular feature where we, the SAW staff, share our favorite foreign and alternative movie posters with the Wasteland.
If you’ve unearthed a foreign or alternative movie poster that you think the rest of the Wasteoids need to see, please send it to us at info.screenagewasteland@gmail.com or on Twitter @SAWasteland.
What’s better than one Millennium Falcon? Four Millennium Falcons. Duh.
This poster was designed by artist John Berkey for the 1977 album release of the Star Wars soundtrack. In the 70s and 80s, Berkey was the sci-fi book cover artist. I’ve always loved his book covers, and I love this Star Wars poster. (Regardless of a few extra Millennium Falcons.)
Do you miss the days when posters occasionally deviated from the source material or did that always bug you when events depicted on the poster didn’t actually show up on screen? Tell us how you feel about it in the comments below!
