Last year during Disney’s Investor Day, we got a glimpse at all of the original content that would be coming to Disney+. Now it’s almost time to sink our teeth into these precious upcoming series.
Disney has revealed a number of release dates for its upcoming Disney+ original television series. The next few months will see everything from MCU properties to reboots of beloved classics to the return to a galaxy far, far away.
We previously reported on the May 4, 2021 date announcement for Star Wars: The Bad Batch as well as the March 26, 2021 premiere for The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (watch the latest trailer here).
Here are all the remaining premiere dates for the upcoming Disney+ slate of originals:
- March 19 – The Falcon and The Winter Soldier
- March 26 – The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers
- April 16 – Big Shot
- May 4 – Star Wars: The Bad Batch
- May 14 – High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (season 2)
- June 11 – Loki
- June 11 – Zenimation (season 2)
- June 25 – The Mysterious Benedict Society
- July 2 – Monsters at Work
- July 16 – Turner & Hooch
- July 23 – Chip ‘N’ Dale: Park Life
After a year without any real originals besides The Mandalorian, it is nice to see that Disney+ is really making an effort to keep around those 94 million or so subscribers. The Marvel shows definitely interest me, and I will certainly check out Monsters at Work, Turner & Hooch, and Chip ‘N’ Dale to see the new takes on these popular characters.
Speaking of Turner & Hooch, according to Deadline, the series might actually be a stealth sequel. They refer to Josh Peck’s character Scott Turner as the “son of Detective Scott Turner portrayed by Tom Hanks in the 1989 film.” Could Tom Hanks be making an appearance in the series? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
