2021 is set to release two massive entries in the Jurassic Park/World and Mission: Impossible franchises. And, at this point in the casting for each respective sequel, I don’t know which film is winning me over more.
Mission: Impossible 7 may have the slight edge by bringing bringing back Henry Czerny from the first Mission, but Jurassic World 3 isn’t going down without a fight.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jake Johnson and Omar Sy are set to return for the upcoming sequel. John and Sy first appeared as control room operator Lowery Cruthersand and velociraptor trainer Barry, respectively, in 2015’s Jurassic World.
The final film in the Jurassic World trilogy is gearing up to be the greatest hits of the Jurassic Park franchise. In addition to Johnson and Sy, other cast members set to return include Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Justice Smith, and Daniella Pineda. New cast members include Mamoudou Athie and DeWanda Wise.
Colin Trevorrow, who helmed Jurassic World, is back in the director’s seat. He recently shared on his Twitter a picture of an animatronic triceratops. It looks like the third World film will continue using both CGI and animatronics to bring the dinosaurs to life.

Jurassic World 3 hits theaters June 21, 2021.
Who else do you want to see return for Jurassic World 3? Personally, I am holding out hope for Julianne Moore and Jurassic Park‘s child actors (let’s see where they are now as young adults).
