Pixar has released an official teaser trailer for Lightyear, the upcoming Toy Story spin-off about the Buzz Lightyear that inspired the toy we’re all familiar with watching. Let’s take a look.
Wow, I was not expecting this. Pixar is really going to make us care about who Buzz Lightyear is underneath the space suit aren’t they?
I mean, wow. This feels like a whole new interpretation of the character. Tim Allen did a great job with the toy version of Buzz Lightyear, but I think Chris Evans is going to make us all care a great deal more about the human Buzz.
Plot Synopsis:
The sci-fi action-adventure presents the definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear—the hero who inspired the toy—introducing the legendary Space Ranger who would win generations of fans.
Lightyear hits theaters June 17, 2022.
