—Get ready for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law spoilers—
Well, I have to say that the season one finale of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was something truly unique for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Besides the fourth wall breaking scene that saw She-Hulk talk to Marvel Studios President K.E.V.I.N. (just watch the episode) about common MCU tropes, the episode, “Whose Show Is This?,” also featured the MCU debut of Skaar, the Hulk’s son.
That’s right, Mark Ruffalo‘s Bruce Banner has a son, who was apparently conceived during his time on Sakaar, the planet the Hulk chilled on for a couple of years between the events of 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron and 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. It’s sort of strange that Hulk never mentioned that he had a son in Ragnarok, but maybe he didn’t know he existed. Wait, did the Hulk have a one-night stand? Wow.
Wil Deusner, who previously played Joey Zarick on the DC series Stargirl, portrayed Skaar in the brief (and silent) cameo. There’s always a chance Deusner will return in the role, but given how little he appeared, I’m thinking Marvel will recast with a more well-known face for his next appearance.
Remember when we thought She-Hulk was setting up a World War Hulk movie? Ah, those were the days!
Anyway, Skaar’s introduction gives us yet another young superhero that could one day be part of the Young Avengers. I mean, we already have Kate Bishop/Hawkeye, Yelena Belova/Black Widow, and Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel with Riri Williams/Ironheart on the way. All we need to do is get Eli Bradley to become Patriot and we pretty much have a full team. Throw in Wanda’s twin boys while we’re at it. I’d watch a film or series with that cast, but maybe I’m in the minority.
As I previously stated, no word yet on when or where Skaar will appear next in the MCU, but we’ll keep you posted.
The entire first season of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is now available to stream on Disney+.
What do you think about Marvel introducing Skaar? How do you think he’ll factor into future MCU storylines?
