Eventhough Lucasfilm will not be at this years San Diego Comic-Con with a panel for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, that doesn’t mean they won’t have a presence at the convention. Just one week prior to this years convention, the new Sith Trooper has been revealed and solidified the previous rumors of a full-on red Stormtrooper.
Below are some images of the Hot Toys Sith Trooper 1/6 Scale Figure ($230) that gives us a pretty good look at the new trooper, as well as a couple of images of the Hasbro The Black Series, Special Edition ($32). And if you look next to the Sith Trooper graphic on the Hot Toys one, there’s a pretty sweet emblem representing the Sith.
Fans attending the mega pop-culture event (July 18-21) will be treated to a new exhibit of trooper armor from across the Star Wars saga, including a first look at the next evolution in Imperial/First Order soldiers: the “Sith trooper” from the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. It’s a modern and more menacing look befitting its namesake.
“It has some really unique aesthetics to it. And it has some subtle ties to previous Stormtrooper designs, which I think fans will enjoy discovering.” – Madlyn Burkert, Lucasfilm archivist
If you happen to be lucky enough to attend Comic-Con next week, you’ll have a shot at getting the first Star Wars Sith Trooper merchandise. Check out some of the other merch at StarWars.com
What do you guys think of the new Sith Trooper? As a guy who like to play Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, I’m pretty excited to hopefully get this and some other new characters in the game come December. My only concern is the game already has a Sith Trooper from Knights of the Old Republic that definitely doesn’t look like this.
