20th Century Fox has just released another Spies in Disguise trailer, and I think their nefarious plan is working because I’m slowly telling myself that maybe I should go and see this when it comes out.
Lance Sterling looks like one smooth motherfucker. Walter Beckett, not so much. Will Smith and Tom Holland is the unlikely duo I didn’t know I needed until now. For everyone who wants to see Idris Elba playing James Bond, Lance Sterling is your answer to that. He’s got the gadgets, he’s got the moves, and he’s almost mastered flight as a pigeon. He’s the ultimate spy package.
Spies in Disguise is hoping to serve as some animated, kid-friendly counter-programming in December against more adult films like Little Women and 1917, and, of course, open five days after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters. Here’s hoping Spies in Disguise will be able to cut through the competition, as it looks like it will be a charming enough film.
Oh, and if they make sequels, can they just be Lance Sterling being accidentally turned into different animals? Thanks.
