Last Week in Hollywood: ‘Venom 3,’ ‘Deadpool 2,’ ‘Pink Panther’ & More

There’s a lot of breaking news in Hollywood happening every minute. In the age of the blockbuster, it’s easy for some smaller movie and television news to slip through the crack. Last Week in Hollywood is our weekly series highlighting all the interesting news from the last week that we thought didn’t warrant its own post, but was still worth mentioning. It’s less personal opinions and more a hearty roundup of what you might have missed.

Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna have closed deals to return for Deadpool 3. Hildebrand will once again play Negasonic Teenage Warhead while Kutsuna will reprise her role from Deadpool 2 as Yukio. They are the latest returning Deadpool cast members to board the threequel after Ryan Reynolds, Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapicic and Rob Delaney, who portray Deadpool, Dopinder, Blind Al, Vanessa, Colossus and X-Force member Peter, respectively.

Plot details for Deadpool 3 are under wraps, though we know Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will factor into the story. Eddie Murphy in Talks for Pink Panther

Eddie Murphy is in negotiations to star in Pink Panther, an updated take on the classic MGM property. He would star as Inspector Clouseau. Sonic the Hedgehog filmmaker Jeff Fowler is directing from a script by Chris Bremner.

Sources have indicated that Pink Panther will feature elements from both the live-action films and the animated cartoon. The live-action/CG hybrid would see Inspector Clouseau and the Pink Panther teaming up for the first time ever on the big screen in what is being described as a “buddy cop movie.” The film is reportedly deep into development. | Source: The Hollywood Reporter
