‘Looney Tunes Cartoons’ Trailer: Bugs Bunny Heads to HBO Max in May

HBO Max has released the official trailer for Looney Tunes Cartoons, a new series that feature original shorts starring Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Tweety, and more!

It is good to have the Looney Tunes back in action! The animation here is retro-modern, a style that Disney’s popular Mickey Mouse series has used to critical acclaim. Although I did enjoy Warner Bros.’s attempt to update the Looney Tunes in the past with sitcom shenanigans, nothing will ever beat seeing them in cartoon shorts!

Looney Tunes Cartoons will be one of the launch day original titles for HBO Max. The other originals are Love Life starring Anna Kendrick, Sundance documentary On the Record, the underground ballroom dance competition LegendaryYouTuber LaurDIY’s crafting show Craftopia, and Sesame Workshop’s The Not Too Late Show with Elmo. You can watch those trailers here.

The streaming service launches May 27, 2020 and will cost $14.99 per month. Yes, that is expensive compared to Netflix’s standard $12.99 and Disney+’s $6.99 per month. Will the 10,000 hours of content be worth the price? We’ll leave that up to you.

What do you think of the new Looney Tunes? Will you be subscribing to HBO Max to watch?
