MOVIES WATCHED THIS WEEK

Come to Daddy (2019)

“A man in his thirties travels to a remote cabin to reconnect with his estranged father.”

A strange and violent film that takes a while to get going. It’s a dark black comedy for people looking for something weird and gory. (3.25/5)

Angel Has Fallen (2019)

“Mike Banning is framed for the attempted assassination of the President and must evade his own agency and the FBI as he tries to uncover the real threat.”

I’m not a fan of this series but this entry was at least watchable. I just get annoyed with movies like this that have that one (in this case two) actors you automatically know are going to be the bad guys the moment you see them appear on the screen. I think what enjoyable about this one was that it seemed set more in the real world than the other entries. Nick Nolte is always fun. (3/5)

Wet Hot American Summer (2001)

“Set on the last day of camp, in the hot summer of 1981, a group of counselors try to complete their unfinished business before the day ends.”

Was this supposed to be funny? I couldn’t even finish it. Not one chuckle was given. (Blah/5)
